Terms and conditions
By placing an order at Household Hardware you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions set out below.
Unless specifically agreed between Household Hardware and you, the customer, no other terms and conditions will apply. Household Hardware may change these terms without notice to you. Changes will apply to any subsequent order received.An agreement will be reached by an order-confirmation sent by email to the customer by Household Hardware. We reserve the right to refuse an order. Non-acceptance of an order may, for example, result from the product being unavailable from stock or our inability to obtain authorization of payment.

Applicable for the Netherlands: prices are mentioned in Euros. For orders above 65 Euros we offer free delivery. Below 65 Euros transportation costs will be 7,50 Euros. With the exception of tiles. Shipping costs of tiles will vary, depending on the weight. Picking up tiles at our head-office and showroom, Toetsenbordweg 24, is free.
International orders: prices are mentioned in Euros. For all orders a transportation cost of 25 Euros applies.
After receiving the payment, the order (if available) will be dispatched within 5 working-days by parcel post. This will be carried out by DHL.
If there has been no payment received within 7 days, we reserve the right to cancel the order.
All products remain property of Household Hardware until the customer has fulfilled the agreement.
Prices are in Euros excluding VAT and excluding transportation costs. A minimum order amount is €500.
Household Hardware will make a transport quotation depending on volume and weight. After receiving an order we will contact you about the payment options and shipping details. Transportation will be carried out by Dachser Int. Log or DHL parcel shipping.
Cost of transportation or postal charges for international destinations will be listed at checkout (private orders) or, for resellers, on the order-confirmation.
If there is any proven responsibility for damages by Household Hardware then the maximum compensation to be claimed will be the amount of the order. Household Hardware is not responsible for late delivery by transport companies or postal services.
If the ordered product is not available or out of stock, Household Hardware will get in touch with the customer as soon as possible. The customer will then have the choice of a complete refund or a later delivery.
Household Hardware cannot be held responsible for any agreement with a customer or potential customer, if they are hindered by situations not to be blamed on Household Hardware or caused beyond their control. Household Hardware can mediate between a customer and for instance a tiler but will have no responsibility for the quality of work or the price quoted.
Household Hardware has made every effort to inform customers as accurately as possible about their products. If a product is nevertheless unsatisfactory, it may of course be returned.
Reduced articles cannot be returned or exchanged.
The products of Household Hardware are unique pieces, mostly handicrafts and handmade. Therefore they can differ from each other. Small irregularities and shape unevenness are part of the product’s charm and a sign of traditional craftsmanship. They cannot be considered a product fault.
Household Hardware has made every effort to display the products as accurately as possible. However, as computer monitors vary, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any color will accurately reflect the color of the product on delivery.
In case the customer wants to return a purchase the customer must inform Household Hardware by email on firstname.lastname@example.org within 14 days of receiving the products. In this email the customer must state what product(s) he/she is emailing about, that he/she wishes to return the product(s) and the reason why he/she wants to return the product(s).
The customer is responsible for the cost of returning the products. Products must be returned fully stamped. Otherwise Household Hardware will not accept the product(s). If returning a purchase through PostNL, you must acquire a shipping receipt from the post-office you are sending it from. This is proof for Household Hardware that you have actually sent the package. Household Hardware reserves the right to refuse to handle, or compensate lost returns without a receipt. If you return a product because it has become damaged during transport or it does not meet quality requirements, then of course Household Hardware will reimburse the return costs.
The product(s) must be returned in their original condition, undamaged and in the original packaging. Returned items must be intact, in perfect condition and ready to be resold. The amount paid will be refunded within 30 days.
Complaints and responsibilities
Before dispatching the products, all products will be meticulously checked by Household Hardware. Should there nevertheless be reason for a complaint about a product, please email Household Hardware at email@example.com, explaining the complaint. Household Hardware will react by telephone or email. Household Hardware will consider if the complaint is just. In that case we will refund at most the amount paid including the transportation costs.
Household Hardware cannot be held responsible for wrongful use of one of their products.
Household Hardware cannot be held responsible for any direct or indirect damages occurring in any way after the products have been delivered. This applies to the customer as well as any third parties.
Copyright and privacy
All rights, including copyright, on this website are owned by or licensed to Household Hardware. Any use of the site or its contents, including copying or storing it or them in whole or part, other than for your own personal, non-commercial use is prohibited without the written permission of Household Hardware. Your data will enable us to process and fulfill your order and will be stored in our database. This information will never be passed to third parties.
Application of rights
In case of legal procedures in which Household Hardware is an interested party, only Dutch law is applicable, even if the customer is living abroad.
